Today at the Produforum meeting we got to know SMartBe, an organization that is very interesting from a Produforum perspective, but definitely also from a To Culture With Love perspective. They work for securing the careers of people in cultural field, and provide different tools to organize your work in more informal ways and still have a legal body and they also do a lot of the legal stuff for you.
It would be interesting to see how all of this works in practice and I would definitely like to visit them in Brussels, so maybe when the Produforum team goes, I could join them…
I used the opportunity to test out my Inkling :) I definitely need to practice more on this… And see that the connection between the pen and the reading device is always working. But practice makes better, right? :P
The Sami duo Niillas Holmberg and Roope Mäenpää performed at the Nordic evening of ENCATC 2011 Annual Conference at the Cable Factory. They’ve just released their first record and you can get a sneak peek over at their MySpace.
At the ENCATC temporary office in Metropolia we have pianos in every room, and even live music provided by our Finnish conference team.

Yesterday I was at a second run of Dominate and Delegate and again Heidi and I talked about how it is to work as a team of cultural manager and visual artist. Our situation right now is that we don’t have money to continue our partnership actively. How can we find was around the structures that don’t allow this kind of co-operation in the visual arts scene?
Yesterday I met up with the new cultural management students at Novia University of Applied Sciences, where I’ve graduated from. We were talking about working as a freelancer and combining many different projects, I presented the projects/organisations I work with.
And in the afternoon we went to Amos Anderson Art Museum and saw Terike Haapoja & Co’s Edge of the World and Rax Rinnekangas’s Face to Face.
